Islamic banks engage in investment through various methods and share the resulting profits with their customers. The following are the modes of finance: 1) Participatory modes of Finance a) Mudarabah b) Musharakah (Engaging in a business on a profit and loss basis.) 2) Non Participatory modes of Finance a) Murabaha (To sell something to someone while disclosing the amount of profit) b) Musawamah (Selling something to someone without disclosing the amount of profit) c) Salam (Taking money in advance from someone and delivering goods on a future date) d) Istisna (contract where goods or projects are manufactured or constructed upon order, with flexible payment and delivery terms.) e) Ijarah (Renting a car, machine or house etc. to someone)
As mentioned in Quran:
That is because they have said: "Sale is but like riba.", while Allah has permitted sale, and prohibited riba.

اسلامی بینک مختلف طریقوں سے سرمایہ کاری کرتے ہیں اور اس کے نتیجے میں ہونے والے منافع کو اپنے صارفین کے ساتھ بانٹتے ہیں۔ فنانس کے طریقے درج ذیل ہیں. (1)شراکت پر مبنی سرمایہ کاری کے طریقے (Participatory Modes) ) الف (مشارکہ (ب)مضاربہ )نفع نقصان کی بنیاد پر کسی کاروبار میں شریک ہونا۔( (2) غیر شراکتی سرمایہ کاری کے طریقے (Non-Participatory Modes) -iمرابحہ: کوئی چیز نفع بتا کر آگے کسی کو بیچنا۔ -iiمساومہ: کسی چیز کو بغیر نفع بتائے کسی کو بیچنا۔ -iiiسلم: کسی سے پیشگی رقم لینا اور سامان کو کسی مستقبل کی تاریخ پر فراہم کرنا۔ -ivاستصناع: سامان یا منصوبے آرڈر پر تیار یا تعمیر کیے جاتے ہیں، جس کے ساتھ ادائیگی اور ترسیل کی شرائط میں لچک ہوتی ہے۔ -vاجارہ: کسی کو گاڑی، مشین یا گھر وغیرہ کرائے پر دینا۔
جیسا کہ قرآن میں بیان ہوا ہے۔
یہ اس لئے ہوگا کہ انہوں نے کہا تھا کہ : " بیع بھی تو سود ہی کی طرح ہوتی ہے ۔ حالانکہ اللہ نے بیع کو حلال کیا ہے اور سود کو حرام قرار دیا ہے۔
